The Milgram experiment in 1961 raises fascinating questions about duty, right and wrong and reason versus emotion. In 2009 Michael Portillo observed and commented on a reconstruction of the experiment now available on Youtube and hyperlinked below.The powerpoint also contains hyperlinks to background material and the trial transcript of Adolf Eichmann - who invoked Kant in his defence. In 2008 a gay couple in a civil partnership book in to a Cornish Bed & Breakfast run according to traditional Christian values. The owners turn them away when the couple insist on sharing a room.
